Solving financial services’ skills gap: How skills-based practices fix the digital divide

Financial services has been described as the engine room of the British economy. However, with the sector struggling with a widening digital skills gap, it threatens to be an engine running on diesel fumes in an electric age.

A survey of 250 decision-makers at UK financial institutions and banks by FDM Group indicates that a lack of digital skills is holding back three-quarters of FS firms. Reflecting this, 91% of financial service employees believe improved digital skills would drive tech implementation at their organizations.
